Google has announced the opening of applications for the 2025 edition of its Hustle Academy, a free, virtual training program designed to support small and medium-sized businesses, SMBs, in Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa.
Building on previous successes, the Hustle Academy will offer SMBs in-depth training on integrating artificial intelligence, AI, into their operations, marketing, and customer engagement strategies. It will also cover core business fundamentals such as financial management, business strategy, digital marketing, and leadership development.
Kristy Grant, Head of B2B Marketing, SSA at Google, said: “We are thrilled to launch the 2025 Hustle Academy, continuing our commitment to empowering African entrepreneurs. This year, we are reinforcing our focus on AI-powered business training, enabling SMBs to leverage cutting-edge technology for growth.”
The program is open to SMBs that have been operational for at least one year and are looking to expand their businesses. Participants will benefit from expert mentorship, practical case studies, and networking opportunities.
Additionally, the 2025 edition will bring back Hustle Academy Brings You, a content series featuring candid conversations with successful African entrepreneurs. Among the featured guests is Adenike Ogunlesi, Founder and Chief Responsibility Officer of Ruff ‘n’ Tumble, who will share insights into the challenges and successes of building a business in Africa. The series will be available on the Google Africa YouTube channel.
Grant added: “By combining practical training with inspiring stories, we aim to provide SMBs with the tools and motivation they need to succeed.”
Interested SMBs in Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa can apply now for the Hustle Academy 2025 bootcamp.
